The Initial Game Pass Additions of 2026 Show Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.

Across the gaming landscape, commentators persist in tolling the knell for the green team. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a platform few have heard of. Dedicated Xbox communities are now publishing content about PlayStation as a new development. 2025 was an era of significant turmoil for the Xbox ecosystem. But if we're going solely off what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it becomes clear that the green gaming company continues to plan to attract subscribers with quality releases on its flagship service.

The Current Inclusions

The duo of games currently accessible at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass soon that's deserving of attention.

Major Titles on the Horizon

On Jan. 13, the subscription service will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that breaks up the standard Ubisoft formula with a cosmic robbery tale. Another big get is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, hailed in past assessments as "a superb mixture of horror and action."

Intriguing Niche Additions

Yet, the less-hyped additions coming to Game Pass soon are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler that is incredibly fun, becomes available next week — and it's worth experiencing regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.

The game set in a ruined Britain from last year could captivate you within just a quarter of an hour.

Atomfall, the stealth survival game by the developers behind Sniper Elite, is another one to watch. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.

A Robust Selection of Games

All in all, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, and they are also not tentpole Microsoft studios games that are the sole reason for the service alone. However, this batch of games are exceptionally strong. It offers a healthy blend of old games you might have missed and new-ish games that lacked the recognition they warranted upon launch — which makes them ideal prospects to experience a revival on Game Pass.

Be prepared to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
