The children's author David Walliams dropped by book publisher.
Prolific young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.
An official for the company said: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the decision was taken subsequent to an investigation into allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable directed at women.
The company declined to specify the motivations for this action, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."
A Highly Successful Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, having sold in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his titles, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
To date, he has released in excess of 40 works combined, encompassing a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
From Screen to Page
His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.
This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
