Los Merengues forward Vinicius Jr has expressed regret to supporters for his response when replaced in Sunday's intense El Clasico win.
Vinicius was taken off in the 72nd minute and expressed his disappointment by walking immediately off the pitch.
Vinicius eventually reappeared to the bench and, following his team's 2-1 victory, tried to confront Barça's opposing player during unpleasant post-match scenes.
"Now I want to apologise to all the supporters for my reaction when I was substituted in the Clasico," the player wrote on social media.
"Similarly to I have already done during the latest session, I also want to express regret anew to my team-mates, the club, and the president.
"Sometimes emotion takes over me because I constantly desire to win and help my side. My winning mentality stems from the passion I hold for this club and each thing it represents."
Vinicius joined Real from Brazil in the year 2018 for millions and has notched over a century of strikes in 335 appearances.
But his prospects in the Madrid is far from certain with reports in lately indicating that the club would contemplate allowing the young star move on if they obtained a suitable offer.
