According to recent figures, the count of individuals reaching 100 in the UK has increased twofold from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.
From 2004 and 2024, the figure of men aged 100 or over has grown by 200% from 910 to 3,100. During the same timeframe, the number of female centenarians almost doubled from 7,400 to 13,600.
We are keen to receive stories from centenarians, their relatives or friends, about what it has been like to bear witness to the past century’s transformative changes and changes.
