On Monday, the tribunal learned phone records and evidence recovered from phones documented Ms Wandelt consistently asking Madeleine's mother for a DNA test throughout 2023 and 2024.

Madeleine's case in 2007 - when she was three years old during a vacation in Portugal - is considered the most publicized investigations and continues to be unresolved.

'I Don't Want Money'

Another phone message, presented in court, documented Ms Wandelt saying: "I realize I'm heavy and unattractive like Madeleine used to be, but I feel what I know."

While one recording of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's recording expressed: "Suppose there is a slight possibility that I'm her? Then what? Is that not important for you?"

"I do not need money, I have a living here in Poland, I only wish to discover," the message continued.

The panel was advised that via emails, SMS messages and calls, Ms Wandelt requested a DNA test, forwarded youth pictures to her phone in a bid to demonstrate a similarity to Mrs McCann's vanished daughter, and stated to have "memories" from a youth with the McCanns.

The investigator, an investigator with law enforcement who gathered the evidence, informed the court there "showed no any answers" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt also communicated with acquaintances of the McCanns, based on the phone records.

On that date, Gerry McCann answered a communication from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "incorrect contact information."

During that incident Ms Wandelt recorded a voicemail on Mrs McCann's voicemail saying "I will persist and I plan to establish my point."

Court proceedings

The court heard Mrs Spragg struck up a connection through digital means with Ms Wandelt prior to accompanying her on a visit to the McCanns' property in Leicestershire in that winter.

Phone records revealed Mrs Spragg had communicated via WhatsApp to Mrs McCann to express the media had characterized Ms Wandelt as "emotionally disturbed" but that she deserved to be taken seriously in the months before the visit to Rothley, the county, in December 2024.

The court learned communications between the two individuals, in last November, planning trying to acquire Mrs McCann's DNA samples from her bins or from utensils at a dining venue.

"We must assert ourselves," the co-defendant informed Ms Wandelt.

On the occasion of the appearance to their home, Mrs Spragg sent a message which expressed: "We find ourselves positioned adjacent to the McCanns' home with our headlights off like private investigators. I desired to do this with Peter Andrew I never thought I would be involved in this with the McCanns."

The proceedings proceeds.
